The South African men’s U-21 team ripped Ghana apart with a 6-0 drubbing in their encounter on day 3 of competition. The very much anticipated clash did not live up to its billing with the Ghanaians failing to make any meaningful impact on the game.
![]() The South Africans dominated the entire match and led 2-0 at halftime. Back from recess, they stepped up their game while the Ghanaians struggled to compete. It was no wonder that the South Africans hammered in 4 more goals to complete the route and set themselves up for a trip to the final. In the other men’s match, Kenya thumped Zimbabwe 5-0 in an attempt to reduce their goal deficit. Egypt sat out on the day and plotted their next move when they face South Africa tomorrow. Ghana will seek to vent their anger on Zimbabwe in the other men’s match. The women’s competition saw South Africa nail Kenya 6-1 to stay on track for a place in the final. Namibia put Zimbabwe away with a 5-1 battering. Ghana sat out on the day and watched with intense interest.
